Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RTF Journal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Neon Peach, LLC. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

Description of Service

RTF Journal is a personal journaling application that provides:

• Digital journal creation and storage
• AI-powered emotional analysis and insights
• Voice-to-text transcription
• Image generation from journal entries
• Personal growth tracking and analytics

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice to users.

User Responsibilities

As a user of RTF Journal, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Use the app only for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
• Not use the app for any illegal or harmful activities

Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Key privacy commitments:

• Your journal entries are protected by transport encryption (TLS) and platform-level storage encryption
• To provide AI-powered analysis, safety moderation, and image generation, your journal entries are processed by Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and fal.ai. These services process your data only to provide the requested features and do not retain or use your data for training.
• Journal data is stored in Google Firebase with Google-managed encryption at rest
• You can export or delete your data at any time

Subscription Terms

RTF Journal offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions:

• RTF Journal Pro (Monthly): $9.99/month
• RTF Journal Pro (Annual): $79.99/year

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. No refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.

Premium features include: unlimited journal entries, AI-powered emotional analysis, personalized reflections, image generation, advanced insights, voice journaling, shared journals, and priority support.

Image allotment: premium includes up to 40 premium-quality AI images per calendar month. After the monthly allotment, entries continue to receive a standard-quality image. The allotment resets monthly. Reasonable daily usage limits apply to prevent automated abuse.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use RTF Journal to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Distribute malware or harmful content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Interfere with the app's security features
• Use the app for commercial purposes without permission

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Intellectual Property

RTF Journal and its contents are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your journal entries and personal content. RTF Journal retains ownership of:

• The app software and code
• AI analysis algorithms
• User interface designs
• Branding and trademarks

Disclaimers & Liability

RTF Journal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:

• Technical issues or app downtime
• Data loss (though we implement reasonable safeguards)
• Medical or therapeutic outcomes
• Decisions made based on AI analysis

RTF Journal is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend accounts for terms violations
• We may discontinue the service with 30 days notice

Upon termination:

• You lose access to the app
• We may delete your data per our retention policy
• You can export your data before termination
